'When Tom was King!'

GK Media are running a 4-day Teen Film Camp this July, with support from Galway City Museum, where participants get to produce a short film exploring the life and death of the African-American bare-knuckle fighter Tom Molineaux, who died in Galway 200 years ago.

Participants will develop their communications skills, build their confidence, strengthen their means of self-expression, embrace their local history, and gain invaluable knowledge about the film industry..

This year, GK Media will also be introducing green screen into their workshops, which will add even more fun to the whole film camp experience.

At the end of this 4-day workshop each participant will receive a YouTube link to their group film and a certificate of completion. Their short film will also be submitted to the Galway Junior Film Fleadh.

The film camp is suitable for all between the ages of 11 to 16 years. The cost is €95 per participant, and there is a maximum capacity of 15 participants.
