DIGITAL VIDEO PRODUCTION (OCT-DEC 2017)
Digital Video Production
This course covers the areas of scriptwriting, storyboarding, photography, sound recording, scheduling, budgeting, marketing, editing, and other essential areas in filmmaking. Participants will get to make a number of short films. If desired, students can also produce a Presenter's Showreel.
Film, TV & Radio Producer Garry Kelly will be the course tutor.
Garry has been working in the film industry for over ten years and is a well-known voice on Galway Bay FM. After graduating with a distinction in Film & TV back in 2001, Garry set up DIG Productions where he has acted as a writer, director, editor & producer on a number of short films, documentaries and a feature film. In 2013, he set up GK Media which is a multimedia company specialising in Digital Productions, Advertising, & Training. The company provides a number of services including producing viral videos, recording & podcasting seminars, and online marketing.
For those aspiring to work in the television and film industry or as an independent filmmaker - this course provides you with all the practical knowledge that you need to know to get started. Participants will get to study the history and visual language of film, before planning and then making their own short film.
